He reabsorbs the blob containing Gohan, and is now even more powerful than he was with Gotenks absorbed. Knowing he needs a massive power increase, Buu causes the part of his head that was cut off earlier to suddenly engulf Gohan, just like Piccolo and Gotenks. Realizing what's happened, Goku declares he can now defeat Majin Buu without fusing with Gohan and prepares to fight. Inside Super Buu, Gotenks' fusion wears off, splitting back into Trunks and Goten, causing Buu to lose well over a third of his power and his appearance to change. Goku goes Super Saiyan 3 in an attempt to hold Buu off while Gohan searches for the earring. Desperate to stop Majin Buu, Goku throws Gohan the other earring, but his aim is off and the earring is lost in the rubble. His legs deal Tien a crushing kick which completely incapacitates him and then they return to Buu. It cuts off his legs and part of his head. Buu tries again, but Goku suddenly appears and sends a disk of energy at the monster. Goku is amazed that the two of them sharing a pair of earrings on opposite ears permanently merges their bodies. Old Kai decides to show Goku the power of the Potara earrings up front with an example, by getting Supreme Kai and Kibito to perform it. Just before it hits, it is deflected by Tien's Tri-Beam attack, who has decided to help, even though he is terribly outclassed. Episode 267 - Ready to Fuse Japanese Name: One More Miracle. Well, many people were moaning that "by a Saiyan's hand" wasn't in the TV dub, so I guess those'll be happy now.Old Kai tells Supreme Kai and Kibito to try a fusion with their earrings, but only after they fuse together does he reveal that it is a permanent fusion. But not because it collided with a meteor. I need you to know what happened to Planet Vegeta, where we were born. Please Kakarot, you have to listen to me. Then you might, MIGHT, actually stand a chance. Damn it! The only way you can beat him is if you harden your heart, you fool. That means you're still holding back and you're not really a Super Saiyan. I know it was all to set up the androids as a serious threat, but there were surely other ways of doing that other than "Let's make the villain we've been building up to for the past 50 or so episodes get completely wiped out by a guy who is almost never as useful as he is here later in the story!"ĭVD Uncut Z Kai Vegeta wrote:No! Don't tell me you're still preaching that mercy nonsense. I always felt it completely ruined Freeza's legitimacy as a threat in the previous episodes having a new guy waltz in and completely demolish him so easily. I loved a lot of his lines in episode 53, especially "I hate to gloat, but there's a lesson here about the virtue of mercy: it's only value is to your foe." They've also been giving him some of the best dialogue (how much of that is straight from the translation, I'm not sure). I've been catching up with bits and pieces of Z Kai for a while, mostly to see Ayres' performance as Freeza considering he's my favourite of the villains and is definitely the best of the recasts. Hm, haven't posted here in quite a while.
